TRAVEL & POETRY: Trees by Joyce Kilmer

May 1, 2016February 25, 2018 Fox

TREES by Joyce Kilmer I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree.   A  tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;   A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray;   A tree that may in summer wear A… Continue reading TRAVEL & POETRY: Trees by Joyce Kilmer

Never tried Kimchi locally because I wanted to try it first in, where else, Korea. It came to me for free when the restaurant server offered it along with a huge i-know-you-want-it smile. She gave me a small portion, maybe careful not to overwhelm me. Result? Loved it! 📌 Busan SK, August 2018
Be still and know that I am God. ~ Psalm 46:10
Feeling Confucius.
While I am fully aware of my faith and who my God is, I also understand how boring life must have been if we were all created the same. From this assurance and understanding, I find peace in fully enjoying and learning from these differences. Much respect.
I DIY when I travel. It saves me money, allows me to explore places at my own pace and liking, and gives me more of the freedom I yearn. But I’d like to think am practical enough too to know which tours can be done better thru pre-arranged services to save me more money, time & energy. This trip to the northern part of Taipei (to all its top attractions in one day) on a Sunday in Autumn is expectedly jampacked. There are limited transpo options and if you total the cost of everything, the little extra penny you pay is definitely cheap to pay for the hassle of commuting. So we did for this one part of the trip and am so glad we did. On another chance (definitely on a weekday), am definitely exploring this part of Taiwan on a DIY. There’s a lot to do other than the famous ones people line up for.
When life knocks us down, we gotta roll with the punches in one piece and laugh it off. #notetoself
